Pharmacovigilance and Disclosure of Adverse Events
Signull is contractually required by its clients to identify, document, and report any safety information related to medical products, including Adverse Events (AEs) and Product Quality Complaints (PQCs), in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
An Adverse Event (AE) is any untoward or unintended medical occurrence in a person who has been exposed to a medical product. This may occur while the individual is receiving treatment or within a specified time-period following exposure and may range from mild symptoms to more serious health outcomes.
A Product Quality Complaint (PQC) refers to any reported deficiency associated with a medical product. This may include, but is not limited to, packaging errors, labeling issues, or unexpected changes in appearance, taste, odor, or product performance.
If safety information is disclosed to Signull during the course of research, we will report only the minimum necessary, non-identifying information required to meet applicable regulatory obligations, including those of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other relevant global health authorities.
Where the reporter is not the individual experiencing the event, we do not request or collect additional Personal Information about the affected individual beyond what is voluntarily provided.
In certain circumstances, and only with your explicit consent, Signull may share your name and contact information with the client sponsoring the research so that they may follow up to obtain additional safety information required for regulatory reporting. Any such disclosure is made strictly for pharmacovigilance purposes, and we take reasonable steps to ensure that client use of this information is limited to compliance
with applicable regulatory obligations.
Pharmacovigilance-related information is handled separately from market research data and retained only as long as necessary to meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Privacy and reporting obligations may vary by jurisdiction, and Signull complies with applicable local requirements, including anonymized or pseudonymized reporting where required.
